A few years ago, I asked my mom – if you could have been anything, what would it have been? She said—maybe a photographer. For my mom, pursuing the American Dream meant doing jobs out of necessity—not passion. She was a seamstress. A waitress. But never a professional photographer. Yet there was always a camera at her side, capturing our lives over the decades. This project is an ode to an unlived dream of being—maybe a photographer. Over the course of six months, we scanned thousands of analog photos, carefully curating a selection of images that best reflected her style: raw and intimate, candid portraiture. Sneak peek below.
